Packaging made of paper and board material protects valuable goods during transport and storage. It is lightweight and most often easily recyclable. Part of a functional and well-perceived packaging is the convenience of quick and easy ‘box closing’ without requiring additional tools or equipment. At the same time, recyclability is – and should be – becoming more and more important. This can be achieved by ‘mono-material packaging’, completely avoiding the use of plastic material, which also applies to integrated closing tapes.
Introducing tesa® 61346
Our paper-based closing tape tesa® 61346 enables secure closing of cardboard boxes or mailer bags and upon disposal, the tape can be recycled along with the box material.

Our new tesa® 61346 paper-based closing tape is designed for recyclable and secure closing of boxes, packages, or mailing bags made of corrugated board, cardboard, or paper. Integrated into box designs, the boxes can easily be closed without requiring any additional tools or equipment. The tape’s innovative, strong paper backing is combined with a high-tack adhesive, ensuring a reliable bond also on board with recycled content.
tesa® 61346 can be applied in-line during the corrugated board manufacturing process which was succesfully tested on
market-leading applicators. During box processing and finishing, tesa® 61346 can also be applied with off-line market standard applicator systems.
