This data protection notice informs you about data processing within the scope of our offers on online marketplaces.
The respective platform provider itself is responsible for the provision of the third-party platform (e.g., eBay Inc. responsible for eBay shops). tesa is responsible for the personal data that the platform provider provides to tesa as shop owner for the purpose of fulfilling orders.
When submitting an order, we process your personal data that is made available to us by the platform provider for the purpose of fulfilling and processing the contract and, if the case, its rescission in the context of the contract termination. This might consist of:
- name, user name on the platform
- contact details (e.g., e-mail address, telephone number) as well as contact details available within the online marketplace
- shipping and billing information
- data that you send to us directly and
- data on questions or to clarify issues concerning an order.
If the products are not shipped directly by the platform provider, we receive your personal data from the platform provider, e.g., your postal address, post office box or similar. We transmit your data to the sole-responsible postal and courier service as well as logistics companies according to the shipping method you have selected.
The legal basis of the data processing for the fulfilment of the contract is Art. 4 para. 9 of the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45/2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (“DPL”) and for the fulfilment of legal information and retention obligations Art. 4 para. 10 DPL.
If you contact us, for example, for questions regarding the product, we process your personal data to answer your query in accordance with Art. 4 para. 9 DPL.
If you submit an order as a contact person for a company or organisation, you can object to the processing of your personal data at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 17 DPL.
We do not receive any personal data from you for payment processing and, if applicable, any credit assessment, as this is carried out directly by the platform provider (e.g. eBay Payment Service).
The platform provider is solely responsible for reviews and comments concerning our services. We have no influence on your personal data published there in this respect.
Your data will be stored by us for as long as it is required for the above-mentioned purposes or due to a legal obligation to keep records (e.g., in order to comply with commercial or tax obligations according to the UAE Commercial Code and the UAE VAT Tax Code).
Some platform providers create statistics through web tracking based on usage data and information about your interaction with our offer on the online marketplace. The platform provider itself is responsible for the collection of usage data. Insofar as evaluations are made available to us, these are anonymised and do not enable any reference to persons.
If you register for the platform's own newsletter (e.g., ebay shop newsletter), we process your contact data on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 DPL. You can revoke your consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. By subscribing to the newsletter, you also agree that the platform provider may record interactions with the newsletter for the purpose of measuring the range and provide us with this information to improve the effectiveness of the newsletter.
