Your customer account
If you would like to participate in tesa PRO as an existing customer, we will send you an invitation to activate your own tesa PRO customer account by e-mail.
By managing your customer account we process your name, address and e-mail address as well as a customer ID and the password you have chosen.
In order to provide the services of tesa PRO, we process your data on the basis of our terms of use in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR.
We process data of contact persons of a company or organisation on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. As a contact person, you can object to this processing at any time with effect for the future in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR.
You can request the deletion of your customer account at any time. To do so, simply contact us at cs.uk@tesa.com.
Processing of your data when ordering
When submitting an order, we process your data for the fulfilment and execution of the purchase contract and, if the case, its rescission in the context of the contract termination. In addition, we use your data to inform you about the status of the order. You can deactivate such notifications at any time through the account settings.
The legal basis of the data processing for the performance of the contract is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR and for compliance with legal obligations (e.g., obligations concerning information and safekeeping) is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. c GDPR.
If you submit an order as a contact person for a company or organisation, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. As a contact person, you can object to this processing at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR.
Processing of your data when participating in e-learning and other activities
tesa PRO provides you with various e-learnings and other activities. If we collect further data from you, we will only process this data to the extent necessary to carry out the e-learning or activities.
Your participation in e-learnings and other activities (e.g., progress and results of completed e-learnings) are stored in your customer account.
Notifications by mail
We process your data in order to send you various communications by mail. These are:
- necessary system-related messages e.g., for invitation, account activation and password reset
- notifications regarding the status of orders
- reminders about not yet completed e-learnings
- product recommendations that we compile based on your order history
You can object to receiving product recommendations at any time. To do so, you can accordingly edit your corresponding account-settings or contact us directly at cs.uk@tesa.com.
Duration of data storage
Your data will be stored by us for as long as it is required for the above-mentioned purposes, or in order to comply with a legal storage obligation, or until you delete the account. Data relating to an order transaction will be stored for 3 years after completion of the order, provided that no legal storage obligations (e.g., commercial or tax obligations according to the German Commercial Code (HGB) and the German Tax Code (AO)) require longer storage. The period begins with the end of the calendar year in which the event triggering the period falls.
