Paint one letter one shade of grey. Start with the second brightest shade of grey for the first word.

Put the paint brush into the brightest colour and wipe it off onto a kitchen paper until the brush is dry.

Keep brushing firmly on the edges in order for letters get brighter.

Take the adhesive putty out of the sheet.
Note: To ensure that the shabby chic letters will stick reliably and permanently to the wall, we recommend that you use adhesive putty. With this adhesive putty, you can quickly affix the shabby chic letters. And should that word become boring after a while, you can effortlessly take down the letters because it can be removed without any trace.

Knead the adhesive putty and roll the it to a little ball.

Firmly press the adhesive putty onto the back of the letters.
