This Privacy Statement is intended to inform you about tesa tape inc.’s collection, processing and utilization (hereinafter "use") of personal data gathered on www.tesatape.com (the “Website”). See section 7 regarding your choices regarding the use of your personal data.

This Privacy Policy describes our policies with respect to personal information we collect from people in the United States and Canada and applies to personal information collected through our EN-US websites (including www.tesa.com and www.tesatape.com), via our apps, through other digital and online services we provide, or offline.  This Privacy Policy does not apply to our international affiliates’ websites or to information collected outside the United States and Canada.  Your use of our websites or apps signifies, your acceptance of this Privacy Policy, as amended from time to time.  

This U.S. Privacy Statement applies to the U.S. Website and is intended for U.S. visitors to the Website.  It does not apply to tesa tape inc.’s affiliate websites. Information gathered on the Website is stored in the United States. If you live outside of the United States, you understand and agree that we may transfer your information to the United States. You may unsubscribe from our marketing communications by clicking the “unsubscribe” link found in every commercial email we send, or by sending us a request to unsubscribe at optout@tesatape.com. If you opt-out of receiving marketing email communications, we may still send you email messages related to your account or specific transactions with us.  Unsubscribing yourself from our marketing communications will not affect our service to you.

We have implemented appropriate and commercially reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to help prevent unauthorized access to, use of, and disclosure of, your personal information.  However, there is no perfect security, and we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.  Please do your part to help keep your personal information secure by maintaining the secrecy of any credentials used to access your account and reporting suspected unauthorized activity to us immediately.

Right to Non-Discrimination for the Exercise of Your Privacy Rights If you choose to exercise any of your rights under the CCPA or CPRA, you have the right to not receive discriminatory treatment by us.

Submitting Requests Relating to Your Personal Information and Verification Process

Our response times may vary depending on the specific type(s) of information sought. We respond to all verifiable requests for information as soon as we reasonably can and no later than legally required. To help protect your privacy and maintain security, we will take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your personal information or complying with any of the requests described above. To verify your identity, we may require you to provide certain information we are likely to already have on-file about you based on the type of relationship you have with us. If you have a registered account, we may require you to use that account to verify your identity. If you do not have an account with us, we will not ask you to create one for verification purposes.  If you exercise your right to request specific pieces of your personal information, we will require you to sign a declaration under penalty of perjury that you are the consumer whose personal information is the subject of the request. We will maintain all signed declarations for our records.
