  • tesa welcomes 48 new trainees and dual students in Norderstedt, Hamburg-Hausbruch and Offenburg
  • Focus on study programs with a focus on sustainability and technical training
  • Long-term goal: Train junior staff for expert and management careers and retain them at tesa in the long term

Norderstedt - tesa, international manufacturer of innovative adhesive tapes and self-adhesive product solutions, is opening its doors to 48 new trainees and dual students at its headquarters in Norderstedt and at its production sites in Hamburg and Offenburg. This means that the company is currently training 115 young talents throughout Germany.

In Norderstedt, the training and study program, which was successfully introduced last year, entered its second round on 2, September with 14 new trainees and dual students. At the same time, 16 new trainees and three dual students started at the Offenburg plant. The tesa plant in Hamburg welcomed 15 new trainees.

Focus on sustainability

Sustainability is a priority at tesa and is also a central component of all training programs and courses of study. This is reflected above all in degree programs such as Sustainable & Digital Business Management, Sustainable Science & Technology and Green Technologies. The "Green Technologies" bachelor's degree program, for example, deals with more sustainable technologies and their use for a future-proof, climate- and resource-friendly energy and water supply. Students learn technical and communication skills in order to further develop the topic of sustainability in an interdisciplinary and solution-oriented manner.

Diverse technical training and degree courses

In addition to a focus on sustainability, tesa also offers technical training and degree programs, including mechatronics technician, chemical technician and machine and plant operator, as well as dual study programs in industrial engineering, process engineering and data science.

Matthias Lindner, Head of Talent Management & Organizational Development at tesa, says: "Our goal is to identify promising young talents, develop them further and retain them in the long term. By training our own specialists, we ensure that our corporate values and goals are internalized particularly well. During their training, our trainees and dual students learn which values characterize tesa and gain a deep understanding of our commitment to sustainability and innovation. We look forward to accompanying the new apprentices and dual students on their journey and actively involving them in day-to-day business from day one."

Individual measures for a successful future

tesa offers customized training and further education measures to promote the development of young talent. Each dual student is firmly integrated into a department and receives intensive support there. Apprentices and students also have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad or spend time abroad at another tesa company. Independent projects and active involvement in day-to-day work ensure practical training.

"In addition to professional development, we also want to promote the personal development of our junior talents. For this reason, we attach great importance to enabling them to spend time abroad and get to know other locations. These experiences not only strengthen professional skills, but also intercultural skills and the ability to work successfully in different teams and environments," adds Lindner.
