Holding the form together tightly where two parts (for example, PS body and metal housing) are joined prevents damage to the PU foam during injection.
When PU foam is injected, it can cause damage to parts. Tape can be used to hold the form together tightly where the two parts (for example, PS body and metal housing) are joined. This avoids the risk of damage during injection.
The tape used for this should have very high tensile strength and high shear and tear resistance. You should also be able to remove it without leaving a trace.
