Vacuum Insulation Panel Mounting
It is necessary to mount the vacuum insulation panel to the housing with double-sided tape to avoid the PU foam getting in between the bonding.
During the foaming process there is a risk that the PU foam could get in between the bonding between the vacuum insulation panel and the housing. In order to avoid this, it is necessary to mount the VIP on the housing using double-sided tape.
The tape used should have a high tack, sufficient adhesion value, and the liner should be easy to lift.
